Your privacy is important to us. Not just because we believe that one’s privacy is invaluable, but also because we support the notion it’s a primary right for each and everyone individual to remain in control of their own information at any given time.

As we help our customers to remain secure and comply with, we are committed to adhering to the same, if not higher standards and do all that is reasonably possible to ensure the safety of your data.

What (personal) data do we collect and why?

To determine how we can improve ones experience on our website, we monitor how it is used and track what pages people navigate to or how they got there. Personal data is defined as all information about an identified or identifiable natural person. Identifiable refers to identifiers (such as name, company name, IP address, location data, etc.) that can be used to directly or indirectly identify a natural person.

The processing of your information is subject to all applicable Belgian and European laws and regulations with regards to the collection and protection of personal data.


The personal data we collect is collected for the following purposes:

  • (a) If you use the contact form on our website, we will use your personal data to respond to your request, by e-mail or by telephone. Your email address will also be included in our database for our newsletter and events, seminars, etc.
  • (b) If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address will be used to send you our newsletters. In addition, we can keep you informed of events, seminars, etc. that we organize and that may be relevant to you.
  • (c) We collect and process your personal data for the purpose of supporting the website and improving your user experience. This goal extends to monitoring the security, availability, (performance), capability, and health of our website.
  • (d) We process your personal data to enforce or comply with the rights granted under applicable law (such as establishing oet, defending against legal claims) if necessary. We may also use your personal data to fulfill our obligations under applicable law.


We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • (a) Contact details: If you use the contact form, you will be asked to provide the following information: name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, and personal data that you enter yourself in the free box (do not include sensitive information, such as health information , information regarding criminal convictions, or bank account numbers). This is information provided directly by you.
  • (b) Newsletter: If you subscribe to our newsletter, you will be asked to provide your email address. This is information provided directly by you.
  • (c) Information about your device: Through your use of our website, certain information is automatically collected: IP address, device ID and type, referral source, operating system, geographic location, duration of the visit, which pages you have visited, or information regarding the timing, frequency and pattern of use of the website. This information may be aggregated and may provide us with information regarding your use of the website. These are personal data collected through your use of the website.



How do we ensure the security of your data and privacy?

First and foremost, we limit the amount of information that we collect. As such, we ensure that the potential exposure is limited.

Secondly, we store information in a single platform (Google Analytics) which makes it easier for us to maintain your data in a secure way. We enforce Multi Factor Authentication on all our accounts and cloud platforms, thus also for Google Analytics. As such, we minimize the risk of compromised credentials being able to lead to a platform breach.

Thirdly, we limit whom has access to the Google Analytics platform. Only direct employees of The Collective Consulting BV have access to the platform, after completing a specific privacy training. All employees have signed a code of conduct which requires treating personal data with the utmost respect (and caution) and access reviews are performed quarterly.

The data we collect through the Google Analytics platform is pruned (removed) from our systems periodically and not retained for longer than the minimal retention period of said systems (14 months at time of writing).

Changes to this privacy policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 01/08/2019 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page. We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically.
If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by placing a prominent notice on our website.
